IN BARDO
SHORT DOCUMENTARY

Tibetan musician Tenzin Choegyal retraces his stripped past, as he recounts life outside of his home country following the events of the 1959 Uprising (Lhasa, Tibet).

Ensuing the exile of his people, Tenzin’s journey as musician shifts to ambassador, wielding his unique voice to show that Tibet still has a presence, and can once again be reborn.

This was a passion project I wrote with director & friend Travis Vetier. Months of research went into this story as we carefully strung the narrative of Tenzin's past, and the historical footprint it carries today.
BURDEN
SHORT NARRATIVE

In the middle of a daddy-daughter lunch, overprotective father Ben continues to shelter nine-year-old Kayla from everyday dangers, only to have her secretly taken captive by an unwelcome stranger.

This script took me months from the first to final draft. It is the one production that has [painstakingly] taken me from a complete amateur to a writer than can, dare I say, have minimal rewrites.

It has taught me much about the storytelling process and the virtue of brevity.
